Bon Tom in the Berkeley Hills

Monday, 11 June 2012 11:51

When Tom and Bonnie asked me to photograph their Berkeley Hills  wedding I was so flattered and SO excited. I grew up around Bonnie and all the Nelsons (they are almost famous back in Grand Haven -- how can a family have FIVE good looking, hilarious, and fun kids?). Back to Tom and Bonnie. I was so excited for this wedding. Tom is a talented nature photographer and I have this amazing history with Bonnie. They were married in the beautiful Tilden Park  in the San Francisco Bay Area. Bonnie's sisters J Audrey did hair and makeup and the lovely veil, Katherine did invitations and graphic design. Talented family. I could write a book about how special these people are to me.. but I'll just share some favorite photographs from the wedding. Doesn't Bonnie just absolutely stunning?

I wanted to share a photo from the latest wedding I photographed on Ibiza. Frances and Justin are an amazing couple and thanks to them I had the chance to fall  in love with the island of Ibiza, which I had previously imaged full of British teenagers listening to techno music on the beach with glow sticks. Turns out it's a magical place full of well preserved natural beauty and lots of happy, spirited people. I will share more from our trip and of this beautiful couple soon.

Some of my favorites from my wedding photography in Spain, wedding photography in Michigan, and family sessions from home and abroad. I know it's mid-March and I am doing a year re-cap blog entry. Yikes! Next year I'll do better... speaking of which, 2012 is going to be (already is) a great year and I am looking forward to all of our couples getting married in Spain, Ibiza, and in the US.

Japanese Inspired Musuem Wedding in Madrid

Thursday, 09 February 2012 22:47

Patricia and Antonio had a very personal and special wedding at the Museo del Traje in Madrid. We also did a preboda/engagement shoot there ... which you can see here. They were inspired by Japan when choosing details and decoration for the day. Patricia made origami cranes for each table setting and ikebana flower arrangements for center pieces. Patricia and Antonio are so sweet together and I feel so lucky they included us in their wonderful celebration.

Sergio and Rosa are this fantastic fun couple that I am so happy to have met.. they live and work right here in Denia, Spain and are fast becoming friends of ours. Needless to say their wedding was simple,  beautiful, and very fun. They were married outside at the wonderful Hotel les Rotes in my favorite part of Denia. I am putting up way too many pictures of Rosa.. but isn't she the most beautiful bride? Here are some of my favorites from their special day. Vivan los novios!!

Destination Wedding in Dénia - Nadia and Brad

The Mediterranean, a horse drawn carriage, flamenco show in a castle, amazing food and wine and lots of love. It was really great to be a part of this special day and hang out with people from all over the world (Nadia and Brad live in Australia!) right here in my Spanish home town. ¡Vivan los novios!

Iñaki y Patricia

Iñaki and Patricia were married outside Madrid not only once... but twice in one day. They started out with a civil ceremony with immediate family and finished off the day with a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the sierra surrounded by friends and family. Their day was full of emotion, love, and their super cute son Jon. Muchas felicidades y gracias por compartir este dia tan especial con nosostros.
