Country Cottage with Friends
Sunday, 11 March 2012 12:11When Vicent told me he had a project meeting with the Naturadora and Takataka in a country cottage in Benissa I told him I was going with baby Kalaii. They are some of our favorite people on both a personal and professional level. Vicent is so fortunate to be able to work on these fantastic projects with such inspiring people, and I am so lucky they let me crash their business lunches and hang out.
handmade baby mobile and adventures in the crib
Tuesday, 06 March 2012 12:15When I was pregnant with Kalaii I got excited to make a mobile for his crib. I had no idea the room we spent so much time painting and thinking about during pregnancy would become an extension of the laundry room after baby's arrival. Since we ended up practicing co-sleeping, we pretty much just go in there to fold clothes. I thought it was about time to check out the crib and the mobile I made (inspired by origami cranes from Antonio and Patricia's wedding).
Happy 2012!
Monday, 30 January 2012 21:17We had an amazing year in 2011. We launched Bikini Birdie, traveled all over Spain and the US shooting weddings and traveling... We got pregnant and spent half of the year tipping the scales. Vicent got a big job that took up most of the year and got to collaborate with the wonderful, talented ladies of La Naturadora.
Here are some of the twelve videos made from his illustrations used in a traveling exhibit made in a bus (YES! A BUS!.. see photos) to promote awareness about climate change! Check out more from this project on Vicent's web page.

Street Photography in Marrakesh
Friday, 04 November 2011 20:54Morocco is so visually inspiring. The people, the architecture, the light! I have had these photos laying around in the digital wasteland somewhere from a quick trip this summer. More photos from Morocco here, here, and an essay from Fez here. We are missing our friend's traditional Moroccan wedding next weekend in his hometown due to me being very, very pregnant. These photos will have to do.... for now.
